Job Summary:
The Analytical Chemist will support laboratory operations, analytical development, and environmental or occupational testing programs within a regulated laboratory environment. This role combines hands-on analytical chemistry expertise with advanced instrumentation, method development, and quality compliance. The position focuses on generating high-quality data to support biologics, environmental, and research initiatives while ensuring adherence to regulatory and documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform analytical testing using chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques including HPLC, GC, LC-MS, and UV-Visible spectroscopy
• Develop, optimize, validate, and troubleshoot analytical methods for small and large molecule analysis
• Support antibody, biologics, environmental, and occupational hygiene testing programs
• Maintain laboratory instrumentation and ensure proper calibration and functionality
• Manage chemical inventory and ensure compliance with storage and safety requirements
• Generate, analyze, and document accurate and reproducible data in a timely manner
• Ensure adherence to quality systems, standard operating procedures, and regulatory compliance standards
• Participate in investigations, deviation analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes
• Collaborate cross-functionally with scientific, quality, and operational teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support adoption of new technologies
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Occupational Hygiene, or related scientific discipline
• Minimum two years of relevant analytical laboratory experience or Master’s degree in Chemistry or related field
• Strong hands-on experience with High Performance Liquid Chromatography
• Experience with one or more analytical platforms such as mass spectrometry, gas chromatography, or ELISA
• Experience in analytical chemistry research in academic or industry settings
• Working knowledge of GxP principles and quality systems
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with biologics, antibodies, or large molecule analysis
• Experience in occupational hygiene or environmental laboratory testing
• Familiarity with method validation and regulatory laboratory environments
• Exposure to automation, data tools, or emerging laboratory technologies
