Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver cloud platform features while adhering to enterprise standards for solution design, coding, and quality.
- Ensure solutions meet product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt and handle compliance, security items, and audit support at the team level.
- Act as a liaison for production activities and issues and collaborate with the Product Owner to maintain a healthy product backlog with clear acceptance criteria.
- Guide the team in work breakdown and execution and mentor team members, providing guidance on engineering practices, and conducting code reviews.
- Work with the Technology Manager to address skill and role gaps and assist in creating resource contingency plans when needed.
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience with Agile development practices, TDD, and OOD.
- Hands-on experience in public cloud provisioning using IaC, with a preference for Terraform.
- Proficient with CI/CD toolchains like Maven, Jenkins, and Ansible, and experienced in building and improving development environments and release automation.
- Certified and experienced with public cloud technologies, particularly Azure, with AWS and Google Cloud Platform knowledge as a plus.
- Skilled in building microservices (using Spring Boot and Swagger) and RESTful APIs, with a strong background in Java, J2EE, Spring, JPA, Hibernate, and Oracle.
- Knowledgeable in concurrent programming, caching, clustering, and optimization.
- Deep understanding of web protocols, multiple operating systems, hypervisors, and distributed systems architecture.
- Strong grasp of programming principles, design patterns, and object-oriented best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities, working effectively in a global team.
- A minimum of a 4-year degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Experience in the financial services industry and on technology and infrastructure teams.
- Proficient in Linux/UNIX system administration.
- Familiarity with Container technologies, including Kubernetes, Openshift, and Docker.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with additional public cloud technologies, especially AWS.
- Familiarity with Ansible.
- Previous experience in production cloud environments and platform design.
