Job Overview

Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using POS systems
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Assist with setting up tables, bussing, and resetting as needed to maintain a clean dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including ingredients and preparation methods
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightlife venues
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively and increase sales through suggestive selling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Experience with food preparation, food handling, and kitchen operations is a plus
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required in the hospitality industry
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
