Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumbing Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The ideal applicant has strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service, and a thorough knowledge of plumbing systems and tools.
Scheduled hours : Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and components including pipes, fixtures, and appliances (e.g., sinks, toilets, water heaters).
- Inspect plumbing systems for leaks and other problems.
- Read and interpret blueprints and building specifications.
- Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure.
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and other issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with water supply lines, waste disposal systems, and related equipment.
- Respond to emergency plumbing calls in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal plumbing codes.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate solutions clearly.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Keep tools and equipment in good working condition.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program or vocational training (preferred).
- 3 years of plumbing experience (required).
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good physical condition and the ability to work in tight or elevated spaces.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions
- Work may be indoors or outdoors, in residential or commercial environments.
- May be required to work evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, loud noises, and hazardous materials may occur.
