Position Title: Part-Time Contract Therapist

Primary Point of Contact: Practice Owner – Christina McKelvy, LPC, NCC, CCMHC

Position Location: 315 West Goodwin Street, Prescott AZ, 86303

Work Schedule: Monday–Saturday; 5–20 client sessions per week (flexible schedule)

General Summary

The general purpose of this position is to provide individual therapy to children (10 and older), adolescents, and adults under the Practice Management Oversight. of the practice owner. This is a contracted 1099 position as detailed by the Independent Contractor Agreement.


Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Master’s degree in a behavioral health-related field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Arizona licensure required and maintained in accordance with the AZBBHE; acceptable licenses include:
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Intermediate computer skills; ability to navigate electronic health records (EHR), internet-based tools, ability to provide tele-health services, and word processing programs (Microsoft Office, Google Docs).


Essential Functions

  1. Provides outpatient individual therapy for Colibri Counseling & Consulting, PLLC utilizing best clinical practices.
  2. Conducts intakes, assessments, and reports as As mutually agreed upon based on therapist availability and practice referrals.
  3. Completes discharges and transfers in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Maintains accurate and timely documentation of all services rendered within 48 hours, including progress notes, treatment plans, consents, and assessments, in compliance with AZBBHE and HIPAA standards.
  5. Responds to client crises per established protocol and scope of practice.
  6. Maintains a caseload of approximately 5–20 clients based on therapist’s availability.]
  7. Participates in peer consultation or case conferences as necessary for ethical client care.


Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability to sit, stand, talk, and hear regularly; use of hands and fingers for computer and phone work.
  • Frequent use of a computer monitor for extended periods.
  • Occasional light lifting (e.g., therapy materials or office supplies).
  • If opted to use the office, the environment consists of a quiet, professional office with moderate noise (e.g., phones, printer).

  • Recognizes and responds to client crisis, safety issues, and emergencies.
  • Maintains ethical and professional boundaries with clients and colleagues.
  • Understands common psychiatric medications and their side effects (within informational scope).
  • Completes treatment plans, progress documentation, and referral coordination accurately and professionally.
