Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Operations Engineer to build the infrastructure that empowers our QA team. In this role, you won’t just be writing tests—you will be acting as a force multiplier. You'll manage our extensive automation libraries, seamlessly integrate QA into our CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with business partners to ensure our eCommerce sites deliver flawless experiences during high-traffic events.
Responsibilities:
Salary Range $96,800.00 - $137,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.

Responsibilities:
- Test Framework Architecture: Extensive experience managing and scaling test libraries in Playwright for complex eCommerce platforms (e.g., cart, checkout, account management).
- Performance & Load Mastery: Proficiency in performance testing utilizing LoadRunner to ensure our platforms handle peak traffic events (like Black Friday or flash sales) without degradation.
- Backend & Data Quality: Strong backend testing capabilities, including API testing (Swagger, Postman) and Database validation using SQL to verify pricing, catalog, and order systems.
- CI/CD Integration: Proven experience integrating automated tests seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines alongside our DevOps team.
- Business Alignment: Proven ability to collaborate with business partners and product managers to translate strategic eCommerce business features into comprehensive automated testing strategies.
- Bonus Skills: Familiarity with AI-assisted test generation and accessibility testing for consumer-facing websites is a strong plus!
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience: 5 years of progressive experience in QA Automation, Software Development, or DevOps, with a strong track record of architecting automated testing frameworks from scratch.
- Automation Skills: Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright or Cypress) for end-to-end testing.
- CI/CD Fundamentals: Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how to integrate automated tests.
- Backend Testing: Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman/Swagger) and basic SQL knowledge for data validation.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively across Product, Business, and DevOps teams.
