As our Category Manager, Walmart, Homecare you will create and share compelling stories that provide insight into how shopper behaviors influence our dish liquid, all purpose cleaner, and fabric softener categories. You will serve as the category expert by delivering insight-based engaging category presentations and highlighting category growth opportunities to Walmart merchants and internally to our corporate headquarters.

You'll drive the discovery and use of consumer, category, customer, and market insights into Fabuloso, Palmolive, Murphy's Oil Soap, Ajax, Suavitel brands and more for use in building strategies across the Customer Development Team, category and planning. Through this customer communications, and initiatives that enhance brand and category performance. 

Track, measure, and optimize category performance (the 7Ps) using shopper insights and retail data to turn complex analytics into clear growth strategies for Colgate and our retail partners. 

Your Day to Day and The Future

• Track, measure, and optimize category performance across the 7Ps using shopper insights and retail data to turn complex analytics into clear growth strategies for Colgate and our retail partners.

• Prioritize and represent shopper needs in all strategic and tactical decision-making.

• Utilize customer-specific shopper behavior data and insights to develop and deliver actionable recommendations that drive category and Colgate solutions.

• Integrate and analyze multiple data sources, including shopper data, proprietary insights, and Point-of-Sale (POS) data, to formulate robust, customer-specific recommendations.

• Effectively communicate complex data, insights, and shopper behavior findings through compelling, fact-based narratives to influence customer and internal stakeholders.

• Act as a trusted consultant to the customer, building strong, collaborative partnerships founded on mutual trust and integrity.

• Collaborate effectively with internal Colgate-Palmolive teams and external broker partners to execute strategies and achieve shared business objectives.

• Maintain a high level of curiosity to proactively seek out and identify opportunities for improvement, analyze results to determine the root cause of performance, and guide the team with data-driven insights.

You'll need to have:

• A bachelor's Degree

• 3 years of consumer product sales or category management experience  

• 2 years of experience analyzing syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI)

• Experience working with retailer point of sale data 

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets and Slides

• Availability to travel 10% of the time  

Even better if you have:

• Experience working with Shopper Behavior Data (Scintilla, Dunhumby, ExtraCare, 1010, etc.) 

• Familiarity working with Household Panel data (Numerator, Nielsen Panel, etc.) 

• JDA or other space planning experience 

• Proficiency in AI platforms such as Gemini

• Background working in consumer product goods

We collaborate in person at our Rogers, Arkansas office Monday through Thursday, with Fridays reserved for wherever you do your best remote work.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $86,000.00 - $137,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
