Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing patient care by answering multi-line phones professionally and warmly, ensuring a positive experience for every caller.
- Respond to inbound calls, assisting patients with questions, scheduling, or other needs.
- Manage each call in a pleasant, professional, and helpful manner.
- Direct callers promptly to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Provide accurate information and ensure callers receive all necessary details.
- Assist patients with scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments, and complete pre-registration tasks as needed.
- Document call outcomes accurately and timely in the computer system.
- Seek guidance for unusual circumstances or issues as they arise.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient PHI and adhere to all HIPAA and clinic privacy policies.
- Keep a clean and organized work area.
- Demonstrate reliable attendance, arriving on time and prepared to perform job duties daily.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and clinic operations.
Job Requirements
- Full alignment with the corporation’s Mission Statement.
- Adherence to the policies and procedures of the Medical Clinic.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical practice.
- Must: At least 1 year of experience in a call center healthcare environment.
- Clear speaking voice and proper diction.
- Must: Knowledge of medical terminology and medical front office procedures.
- Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with a diverse population across different cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with non-native English speakers.
- Intermediate written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate computer literacy.
Must Have
- Experience in a medical office or clinical setting.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
