What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pâtissier position at Colette Bakery?
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Pastry Chef to join our team.
Schedule: 3:30 AM – 11:30 AM Applicants must be available and comfortable starting work at 3:30 AM.
Starting at $18/hour, depending on experience, approximately $5/hour in tips
The successful candidate will work closely with our Pastry Chef and assist with the daily production of a variety of pastries and desserts, including macarons, cakes, pastry creams, tarts, and other French pastries.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Pastry Chef with daily pastry production
- Follow recipes accurately and consistently
- Work with a variety of ingredients and pastry techniques
- Prepare and organize ingredients for daily production
- Set up and maintain daily inventory
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment
- Keep the workstation organized throughout the shift
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the pastry team
Qualifications
- Previous professional pastry or bakery experience required
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Must be able to consistently start work at 3:30 AM
