Hi, my name is Mitch & I'm the owner of Colepepper Plumbing....and I need some help!

We are a small company that is growing. Lately we've been outsourcing our phones to a call center, and they are doing a pretty good job, but I'm looking for better and I'm looking for somebody that can assist me with some administrative duties.

Your main priority will be answering the phones every day. We are typically not slammed with calls, but I would say you could expect to book 5-10 calls per day at our current size (this may increase in the future).

It is very important that you are a very empathetic and patient person with our customers (this is really where I want to step up our game from the answering service). We are really striving to provide top notch customer service and it all starts with you, when you answer the phone.

Our customers are typically stressed or frustrated when they call in, and I want you to make their day better by: effective listening (repeat back to them their issue) show authentic empathy (these people are upset they have a leaking pipe) build a relationship (get them to laugh, or find a way to brighten their day)....

When you are not doing that you will be rescheduling or cancelling calls that we cannot get to in time if our plumbers get stuck on jobs...this is the uncomfortable part of the job. Many customers are waiting all day for us, and they can be very frustrated when we tell them we can no longer make it today. You will then either reschedule them to the next day or refer them to one of our recommended company's who should be able to service them same day.

When you are not doing that you will be doing some minor admin work that is mainly repetitive like:

Sending invoices

Assisting plumbers with invoicing

Ordering more company t-shirts or hats

Replying to emails

Replying to Google reviews

Marking jobs booked in the Google app

Dispatching if I need the morning off or if I'm out of town

I teach you all this stuff. It's really easy simple stuff. I just need the right person to do it!

We have a small little office in Kearny Mesa that we are going to be getting and it will be just you in there with a nice little desk, computer and phone and you can make it your own.

They have a great break room with snacks , soda and carbonated water that other small company's like mine share.

I need somebody who is reliable, who can show up to work every day and who doesn't miss much work. If you miss work then I have to take over your position, and I need to be in the field helping the guys out.

You'll start at 8am every day and clock out at 5pm (1 hour lunch). If you could go to 6pm, that would be awesome, but it's not mandatory.

This is a Monday - Friday job

I'm looking for somebody who wants to grow with us, and help us become a great company, focused on amazing customer service.

$25/hour

5 paid vacation days after 1 year
