Coleman Tri-County Services is looking for a hardworking and engaging individual to provide employment support to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities within community employment. This position hours may vary, with shifts primarily from 8-4:30. This position is primarily located in White County.
This position works with individuals hired with community-based employers. Positions at all employment locations include providing a vital role to help the individual with disabilities learn and maintain their job position.
Training is provided with certifications and pay can be up to $17.25 an hour!
Requirements:
· 18 years of age
· Technological Skills
· Must be able to pass the S-TOFHLA (literacy test)
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent
· Preferred: At least one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Work with individuals with disabilities on the job site to help them learn tasks within community employment.
· Work with individuals with disabilities on the job site to help them learn their job, develop natural supports, and meet the needs of the employer.
· Ensure individuals understand all safety aspects and work site procedures for working conditions, equipment, and materials used in task completion.
· Document on progress of employment performance and provide recommendations in a timely manner.
· Collaborate with service providers, community members and families
· Complete and maintain DSP and Job Coach required training and certificates
· Attend and contribute to team meetings
