Our client has partnered with Coleman Search Group to identify a Product Development Manager to support the continued evolution and competitiveness of their portfolio.
About the Role
The Product Development Manager will support the strategic development and ongoing management of standard personal lines products and state presence. This role leads competitive analysis and data‑driven research to recommend new products, enhancements, and innovations that drive profitable growth and portfolio diversification.
The position collaborates cross‑functionally with Claims, Underwriting, Marketing, Actuarial, Legal, and other partners to design, file, and implement approved product changes. It also manages regulatory change prioritization within the broader product roadmap and ensures all initiatives comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
The role will follow a hybrid schedule aligned to business needs (in-office 2 days/week).
Responsibilities
- Support development and ongoing management of personal lines products and the strategic roadmap.
- Conduct competitive, market, and data‑driven analysis to identify opportunities and develop recommendations.
- Build and present product proposals and business cases to leadership.
- Lead cross‑functional collaboration to design, file, and implement product changes.
- Manage product development initiatives from concept through launch and post‑implementation monitoring.
- Identify value‑add opportunities and partner with Marketing/Innovation to evaluate and deliver.
- Monitor regulatory developments, assess impacts, and integrate required changes into the roadmap.
- Lead regulatory change projects and ensure timely implementation.
- Develop form language in partnership with Claims, Legal, and Line of Business leaders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for personal lines products and services.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong technical underwriting knowledge.
- Working knowledge of ISO circulars, bulletins, and competitor analysis.
- Ability to independently research and analyze coverage.
- Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Proven project‑management capability and ability to drive initiatives independently.
- Proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented
- Excel, Cognos, SQL, Access, etc.).
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 5 years of product management or related insurance experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years line‑of‑business experience (Personal Lines)
- 5 years risk management

Salary : $140,000 - $163,000
