Overview
We are seeking a CNC Lathe and Mill Set-up/Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves setup and operation of CNC Lathes and Mills to produce components for Automotive and Racing applications. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with CNC machining, blueprint reading and precision measuring equipment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Lathes, CNC Mills and manual Turret Lathes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other quality control instruments to verify part tolerances
- Adjust tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters for optimal performance and quality
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly
- Handle materials and tooling safely using forklifts, hand tools, and other materials handling equipment
- Collaborate with team members to maximize work-flow and processes as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards
Requirements
- 1-3 years experience of general machining and blueprint reading.
- An understanding of programming languages such as G-code preferred.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills in tooling setup and troubleshooting is required
- Familiarity with factory safety protocols including materials handling equipment like forklifts
- Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations in machining tasks
- Ability to lift 10-30 pounds on a regular basis
This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise in machining operations, and a commitment to quality. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work safely within a manufacturing environment while maintaining high productivity standards.
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
