We are seeking a motivated and skilled Pipe Layer and Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks to assist in pipe installation and site preparation.
- Lay underground pipelines accurately according to blueprints and technical specifications using pipe lasers and other precision tools.
- Read and interpret construction blueprints, drawings, and technical plans to ensure proper placement of pipes and related infrastructure.
- Conduct utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before excavation begins, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Assist with welding, plumbing, concrete finishing, and other construction activities as needed on site.
- Maintain safety protocols at all times while operating equipment or working around hazardous materials; report any safety concerns immediately.
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks in construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of pipe installation processes within the utility sector.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and utilize pipe lasers for precise alignment.
- Familiarity with utility locating techniques to identify underground utilities safely.
- Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety standards and efficient workflow.
