Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Parts Counter Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the automotive industry and be knowledgeable about automotive service and repair. This role is responsible for managing the flow of parts and supplies into and out of the facility, ensuring that the correct parts are in stock at all times to support the service and repair of vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, coordinating with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of parts, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate records of parts inventory, including tracking of inventory levels, part numbers, and pricing.
- Develop and implement effective inventory management systems to ensure that the correct parts are in stock at all times.
- Utilize an order management system to coordinate with the logistics team for timely delivery of parts.
- Perform data entry to ensure accurate and timely tracking of parts inventory and orders.
- Work closely with the service and repair team to identify and resolve any issues related to parts availability or quality.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and build strong relationships with customers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in automotive diagnostics and service to ensure that the correct parts are being ordered and stocked.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement effective strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure that the parts inventory is accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements:
- Strong background in the automotive industry, preferably in the field of auto body repair.
- Proven experience in inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Familiarity with an order management system and data entry software.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and service, including familiarity with OEM parts and procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to parts availability and quality.
- Experience with logistics and supply chain management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, logistics, or a related field is an asset.
