This role involves creating content, managing digital channels, coordinating campaigns, and ensuring consistent brand messaging across platforms. This position reports to the Director of Admissions and suits detail-oriented, creative professionals with strong organizational and writing skills.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Content Creation and Management: Write, edit, and produce high-quality content for the CVCS website, social media accounts, email newsletters, press releases, brochures, and other marketing materials. Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, guidelines, and objectives.
- Digital and Social Media: Manage and post on social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, monitor engagement, respond to audience comments, and analyze performance metrics.
- Campaign Support: Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing marketing campaigns, promotional events, email blasts, and advertising initiatives. Track results and report on ROI and effectiveness.
- Brand Management: Maintain brand consistency across all materials and channels. Support the creation of collateral tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Public Relations and Media: Draft press releases and media alerts, maintain media lists, respond to media inquiries, and build relationships with journalists and partners.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor campaign performance, website traffic, and social metrics. Prepare reports and recommend improvements based on data.
- Website and Asset Management: Update the CVCS website content, organize digital assets, and ensure materials are current and accessible.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams on projects, events, and communications. Coordinate with external vendors, designers, or agencies as needed.
- Administrative Support: Maintain marketing calendars, spreadsheets, and databases. Assist with budgeting, scheduling, and other departmental tasks.
- Desire to invest in and disciple students in their relationship with the Lord.
- Evidence of a teachable heart, humility, and a gentle spirit.
- Demonstrated ability to work in unity as part of a team, serving others.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in marketing, communications, PR, or a similar role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media management, content creation tools, and basic graphic design via Adobe Suite, Canva, etc.
- Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics and social insights and email platforms such as Mailchimp.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), digital marketing best practices, and media relations.
- Experience with specific tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite, or CRM systems preferred.
- Portfolio of writing samples, social campaigns, or design work preferred.
- Knowledge of or experience in Christian education preferred.
- Profess a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have made Him both Savior and Lord as represented in Scripture (John 14:1-27; Ephesians 2:8-22) and accepts without reservation the Statement of Faith of Cole Valley Christian Schools.
- Have a history of faithfully attending and financially supporting a Bible believing church.
- Have a verifiable history of living and modeling Christian character in employee's personal and professional life, serving as a Christian role model first to family and friends and then to students, parents, and fellow faculty and staff members in regard to personal judgment, dignity, and Christian living. This is expressed in such passages as Ephesians 5:21-23; Colossians 3:12-17; and 2 Peter 1:1-10. Individual's life in Christ must continue to be faithfully pursued in and out of the workplace as a condition of continuing in this ministry position.
- Willing to submit to the authority of those who have oversight of the school (1 Peter 2, 9-20), and to fully cooperate with these authorities and adhere to the policies adopted by the School Board in both letter and intent.
- Strive at all times to understand, appreciate, love, and nurture the students entrusted to the employee for instruction, supervision, and/or oversight, and must provide for their fullest spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional development.
- Hours: Full-time, year-round. 210 contract days.
- Salary: Starts at $50,000 per year. Actual salary is dependent on experience.
