Position Summary
Cole Towing & Recovery Inc. is seeking a highly organized and experienced Daytime Dispatcher to coordinate towing and recovery operations efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate understands the fast-paced towing environment, can multitask under pressure, and communicates clearly with drivers, customers, law enforcement agencies, and insurance companies.
This role is critical to maintaining operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch tow trucks efficiently using GPS/software systems
- Coordinate with law enforcement, municipalities, and private property accounts
- Answer high-volume inbound calls professionally
- Accurately enter service calls, locations, and billing details
- Provide drivers with clear instructions and job expectations
- Monitor driver routes, ETAs, and job completion times
- Handle accident calls, private property impounds, and roadside assistance
- Communicate with insurance companies and motor clubs
- Maintain detailed call logs and documentation
- Assist with invoicing and record keeping
- Resolve customer concerns calmly and professionally
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years dispatch experience (towing industry preferred)
- Strong knowledge of local roadways and surrounding counties
- Experience with towing software (TowBook, Tracker, Beacon, or similar preferred)
- Excellent phone communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer proficiency (email, data entry, scheduling systems)
- Professional demeanor and problem-solving mindset
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with police rotation accounts
- Knowledge of impound procedures and documentation
- Understanding of insurance billing processes
- Ability to prioritize emergency calls effectively
