Responsibilities
- Lead and manage field teams, ensuring accountability, productivity, and morale
- Oversee daily operations, including crew scheduling, equipment logistics, and fleet utilization
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Project Managers, Warehouse Manager, and Director of Construction
- Ensure job readiness by reviewing safety protocols, job tickets, and material lists
- Monitor job sites for quality assurance, safety compliance, and operational efficiency
- Manage labor and time tracking, approving crew hours and verifying via GPS
- Support hiring and training, including interviewing field staff and scheduling advancement opportunities
- Facilitate communication between field crews, foremen, and leadership
- Resolve operational issues, such as equipment breakdowns or scheduling conflicts
- Drive continuous improvement through training, certification tracking, and process optimization
Required Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and operations
- Minimum 3 years in commercial roofing construction
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong written communication and scheduling skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and blueprint/spec reading
- Comfortable with long and early hours and fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with scheduling software
- Background in estimating, project management, or superintendent roles
