Our 106-year-old family-owned company has an opening in our corporate office in Fargo for a people friendly, talented, and multitasking Administrative Assistant to help 8 middle and senior level managers with various projects and responsibilities related to the operation and administration of our 11 locations, 220 employees and 4 divisions. Our company presently services customers across the United States and some regions of Canada.
Here is how an Administrative Assistant for our corporate office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- $21-28/hour depending on experience and software knowledge. Possible sign on bonus. Three raises likely in first 12 months with excellent performance.
- Normally 8am – 5pm Monday – Friday – occasional overtime as needed evenings or Saturdays.
- Supporting day-to-day operations by performing administrative tasks for managers, department heads, and staff.
- Maintain employee phone lists, producing draft and final emails/memos.
- Occasionally back up our receptionist and take messages for managers, department heads, and staff.
- Ensuring appropriate document control and compliance through filing, composing, and editing documents and reports.
- Setting up periodic sales meetings, including room reservations, facility selection, travel arrangements, arranging for catering, registration of staff and guests, and distributing information.
- Set up fun activities for key holidays and United Way fundraising etc.
- Arranging travel, hotel, and car reservations and preparing travel itineraries for staff as needed.
- Ordering office supplies for departments as requested or needed.
- Occasionally assisting with mail distribution and courier requests.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree, diploma or certificate in office administration program considered an asset.
- 3 years of experience in an administrative role for a profit-oriented business.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to change.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with confidential information.
- Ability to effectively manage difficult situations and remain calm under pressure.
- Pleasant personality and very likeable.
- Ability to create, edit, proofread, and format documents/presentations.
- Advanced skills in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, and other programs.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
