What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Cole County Sheriff's Office?
General Responsibilities:
The Custodian is responsible for keeping the Cole County Sheriff’s Department & Jail in a clean and orderly condition. Some of the job duties included but not limited to are: Performs interior cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, stripping and waxing hard floors; vacuuming and cleaning carpet; cleaning break areas and associated appliances, drink machines, etc.; clearing tables; dusting surfaces; cleaning glass surfaces; cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and stocking supplies, removes trash from rooms within building; maintains building, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities. Occasional work around secured inmates.
