What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Financial Officer position at Coldwater Veneer Inc.?
CFO OPPORTUNITY:
As our CFO, you will lead our accounting department and manage day-to-day financial operations. Utilizing your leadership skills and experience, you will be a key part in optimizing systems and processes. Effectively apply business intelligence and analytics. Your understanding of the larger picture and how numbers can impact businesses will bring awareness to issues and how to correct them.
Work closely with the executive management team to formulate long-term financial planning strategies for the company. With your accounting and analytical background and experience, you will be a key member of our management team and preside over the monthly management financial meetings.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the company’s finances and effectively manage three accounting team members, and two IT team members.
- Prepare financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, etc.
- Create reports and analysis that help managers make important business decisions.
- Analyze numbers, provoke awareness, and illustrate any issues while effecting change.
- Communicate with other departments to provide financial information needed to function efficiently.
- Provide all data and reporting to management on a timely basis.
- Review financial statements from external sources (banks and investment firms.)
SUCCESS FACTORS:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or Business Intelligence.
- Proven analytical abilities to guide the business into the future.
- 5 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable tasks.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
