Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Crew Member / Shift Lead at our popular ice cream and dessert shop! Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality ice cream, toppings, and beverages following established recipes and safety standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including food handling, bussing tables, and kitchen stations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage cash handling duties with accuracy, including balancing registers at shift end
- Assist in training new team members on food preparation techniques, POS operation, and customer service expectations
- Support team leadership during shifts by coordinating tasks, managing time effectively, and ensuring a positive work environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or quick-service restaurants is preferred but not required; culinary or restaurant experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and teamwork
- Basic math skills for cash handling.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform physical tasks required in a café or retail environment
- A positive attitude with enthusiasm for creating fun and memorable guest experiences
