Engineering Development Specialist (Entry-Level / Junior)

Monday–Friday | 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Full-Time | Hourly
Pay Range: $21.00 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Position Overview
Cold Point Corporation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Development Specialist to support our engineering and manufacturing teams. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their technical skills while gaining hands-on experience in product development, testing, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support engineering development efforts including lab setup, CAD design, prototype builds, testing, and manufacturing support
- Assist with engineering projects alongside the Engineering Coordinator and supporting product development activities.
- Perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and development in lab and shop environments
- Develop into backup resource for the Engineering Coordinator.
- Create and maintain engineering and production documentation (wiring, tubing, insulation, and assembly charts)
- Prepare and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Develop a strong understanding of BOM processes and manufacturing requirements
- Assist in programming automated equipment
- Serve as a liaison between Engineering and Production teams to support implementation and manufacturing needs.
- Communicate progress and updates on ongoing projects
Qualifications
- Demonstrated professionalism, initiative, and ability to lead by example
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across departments
- Reliable attendance and dependability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Experience with BOMs and documentation processes preferred
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems preferred
- Associate degree in HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred
