What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Administrator / Human Resources Generalist position at Cold Heading Co.?
Job Duties:
- Maintains, verifies, and processes payroll by collecting, calculating, and entering in data
- Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
- Prepares weekly/monthly reports
- Processes weekly payroll for multistate
- Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments
- Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- Assists with various Human Resource Generalist tasks including FMLA, Workers Compensation, Employee Onboarding, Open enrollment
- Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook and contributes to the development of policies
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
- Previous Payroll Processing Experience is Preferred
- Experience is preferred but not required.
- Use of Microsoft Office at an Intermediate level. Particularly Excel.
- Educational background using Paylocity or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an aptitude to problem solve.
