Job Overview
Busy Food Truck Street late night food spot looking for motivated passionate candidates to add to our culinary team. Take home base hourly ($12) and tip pool ($2000-2500) averages out to about $600-$800 per week after taxes. Large events, shows and festivals can bring as much as an extra $200-300 per event day in tip revenue. Cash Tips are dispersed daily, CC Tips go on paycheck. Our team is small currently there's only 2 people in the tip pool.

Almost 3 years ago, we took over the Food Truck space outside Velum Fermentation an amazing Brewery and community events center in Southside. We've been featured as a Top-10 best new restaurant, multiple food items are currently on several "Best-Of" lists and we've been featured in many publications such as Table Magazine, PGH Mag, Pitt Post Gazette, and many videos - even a Mitchell & Ness ad campaign.
Night time availability a huge plus.
Cold Friends is not a normal group of chefs - 75% of our current staff are people that have overcome homelessness - and currently 90% are in some form of active recovery. While these aren't requirements for employment, it should be highlighted that people in active recovery do very well in our system. To date Cold Friends has provided 2500 meals to people in need in the last 2.5 years, and community outreach is a huge part off our business.
