JOB DESCRIPTION

The EHS Specialist will promote a Zero Harm Safety culture and to create a workplace free of recognized hazards and promote safe work behaviors and foster a lean safety culture to ensure all safety and environmental regulations are met. This is a hands-on role and requires a self-starter and influential leader. The EHS Specialist will inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment, and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards. The EHS Specialist will support the implementation of CCT EHS programs in the PA facility and is responsible for regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities:

· Practice safe working techniques and re-enforce the safety policies, guidelines, and procedures set out by the company.

· Provide daily guidance and direction for EHS programs at the employee/ manager level to ensure a common and effective approach

· Foster a work environment in which employees are encouraged to report and raise environmental and safety issues.

· Ensure contractor personnel working on CCT property follow CCT policies and safety requirements.

· Perform audits and safety inspections as needed.

· Ensure that hazardous materials and controlled substances are adequately identified and controlled.

· Lead investigation and ensure timely resolution of all incidents including identification of the root causes and corrective and preventive actions.

· Responsible for ensuring the company adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations and codes.

· Educate employees about maintaining a safe workplace to promote a culture of safety.

· Demonstrate the use of safety equipment and ensure proper use by employees

· Assist the Global Director, EHS in establishing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs and training.

· Support continual improvement activities to enhance Safety, such as 5S, Kaizen events, lean methods, etc.

· Interface with Managers, Supervisors, and Leads on safety-related issues.

· Perform duties following established safety standards.

· Actively support Environmental, Health, and Safety and rules and regulations.

· All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

I. Special Requirements (License, Permit, Certification, Physical Limitations, etc.…)

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in related field with 2 – 4 years of experience.

· Associate degree with minimum 7 years direct EHS experience.

· Working knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations, protocols, and procedures.

· Skill in performing safety inspections and ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards.

· Ability to develop, implement, and enforce safety programs and protocols.

· Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

· Ability to multitask and collaborate with associates at all levels of the organization.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to be physically active (lifting, standing, bending, reaching, etc.) and ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and less weight frequently.

· Occasional travel (< 15%) required.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Knowledge and experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001

· Experience working for a global company

· Advance knowledge and skills using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

· Bilingual, specifically English and Spanish

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
