What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anticipated Homebound Instructor (10 hours/week) position at Colchester High School?
POSITION TITLE: Anticipated Homebound Instructor for Instructional Support, Part-TIme, Up to 10 Hours per Week
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed Teacher Preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative problem-solving skills.
- Successful prior experience working with students and adapting curriculum content to learner needs.
- Knowledge of best practices in teaching and learning and the ability to apply these practices.
- Commitment to the School District's mission and Strategic Plan.
- Instruct individual students according to their defined education plans and/or identified needs.
- Support special education and/or regular classroom teacher suggestions for instructional delivery.
- Supervise students' progress as assigned.
- Maintain a record of student performance and growth as directed by the Director of Student Support Services.
- Administer content area tests as appropriate.
- Communicate on a regular basis with the Director of Student Support Services and appropriate school staff members.
- Attend basic staffing and IEP conferences as requested.
- Serve as a liaison between the school and home during the time that any student is receiving homebound tutoring.
- Participate in continuing professional development activities.
- Assume other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Support Services.
