1st Shift- Monday-Thursday (4 days a week, 10 hour shifts) 5:00AM to 3:00PM

3rd Shift- Sunday night-Wednesday night (4 days a week, 10 hour shifts) 7:30PM to 5:30AM

Pay varies between our shifts, with a $3/hour shift differential for 3rd shift.

Summary

Sets up and operates conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the following duties.

This position includes but is not limited to:

· Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

· Measures, marks, and/or scribes dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent forming.

· Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, punching, dies, accessories, and materials on machines.

· Calculates and sets controls to regulate bending factors such as speed, pinch point, and opening depth and angle of bend, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

· Starts and observes bending operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance forming, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.

· Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.

· Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.

· Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly when required.

· Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly when required.

· Tests operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance of machine and all safety guards.

· Develops specifications from general description and draws sketch of part or product to be fabricated.

· Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve forming or assembly problems.

· Inspects parts to assure that all processes have been completed and match the shop order.

· Assures that all safety procedures, inspections procedures, start-up procedures and housekeeping procedures are followed.

· Conforms to ISO Standards.

· Other duties as assigned.
