- Conduct oil changes efficiently and accurately using appropriate hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper disposal of used fluids.
- Perform tire rotations, replacements, and alignments to optimize vehicle safety and handling.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues, fluid leaks, brake wear, and tire condition; communicate findings clearly to the service team.
- Assist with basic automotive diagnostics to identify potential problems early and support more advanced repairs when needed.
- Use mechanical knowledge to assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as replacing filters, checking fluid levels, and inspecting belts and hoses.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools are properly stored and safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining maintenance procedures clearly and answering customer questions professionally.
- Support the sales team by recommending additional services or maintenance plans that benefit the customer’s vehicle longevity.
- Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle parts or equipment safely to prevent injury while maintaining efficiency.
- Collaborate with technicians on vehicle repairs requiring more advanced diagnostics or repairs beyond the lube bay scope.
- Previous dealership experience or automotive repair background is highly preferred.
- Proven mechanic experience with a solid understanding of automotive systems and diagnostics.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience performing oil changes, tire services, alignments, and basic vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with automotive service standards and safety procedures in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during routine tasks.
- Service technician experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
