Job Summary
The Motor Freight/International Shipping Associate will assist with the preparation of shipping both business-to-business and international orders. This individual must be able to take directions well and complete all order preparations according to customer and regulatory requirements.
Order preparation will include picking products, palletizing and labeling as required, and loading orders on outbound carriers. The associate will be trained in the creation of all required shipping documents and freight scheduling.
Reports To: Motor Freight/Intl Lead
Essential Functions:
- Accurately pick and palletize orders according to established guidelines.
- Follow customer specific guidelines for palletizing orders
- Apply all required labeling to meet customer requirements
- Pick/label product destined for international customers according to regulatory requirements
- Operate Powered Industrial Trucks in a safe and efficient manner
- Complete all documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Cross train in other departments as needed and flex to other functions as assigned.
- Assist with warehouse cleaning and maintenance
- Serve as Motor Freight/Intl Lead back-up when needed.
- Perform additional duties as required by management
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This role operates in both office and warehouse environments. It involves frequent use of office equipment (computers, phones, copiers) and routine interaction with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and power tools.
- This position is based out of Chattanooga, TN
- Must be comfortable working on the warehouse floor for extended periods.
- Requires occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs and frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Standard business hours apply, and occasional after-hours availability may be required.
Schedule and Availability
This is a full-time, onsite position with a schedule aligned to our standard business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Some weekend hours and occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.

The successful candidate’s qualifications will include:
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training
- Strong knowledge base of warehouse operations
- Experience working in domestic and international shipping a plus
