Overview
Support plant production needs for daily operation, changeovers, and outbound shipments. Job duties include general labor tasks, banding and weighing coils, operating mobile equipment, performing necessary cleaning as required. Primarily responsible for assisting in packaging of product for internal and external use and assisting in changeover with other production teammates.
Responsibilities
Performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, moving, weighing, and banding of finished product. Assists a variety of functions with manual labor tasks and machine operators as needed. Ensures accurate coil identification and proper packaging of finished product based on customer requirements. Assist machine operators as needed. Operate all mobile production equipment. Maintain a clean work environment by keeping work area free of trash and scrap. Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
• Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read work order instructions, safety and policy manuals).
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficient in basic math skills.
• Basic communication skills.
• Ability to follow and give instructions.
• Basic problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to work closely with others in a team environment.
• Work authorization: United States (Required)
Experience & Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior metals experience preferred
