Job Summary
COHR is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Transportation Driver to support our Youth Program. In this role, the driver will safely transport youth participants to and from our center, community activities, and scheduled program services using company vans or approved personal vehicles.
This position main focus where safety, punctuality, and professionalism are essential. The driver will play an important role in ensuring youth arrive safely while maintaining a supportive and respectful environment during transportation..
Duties
- Safely transport youth participants to and from program locations, community activities, and scheduled services using company vans or approved vehicles
- Follow designated pick-up and drop-off schedules while maintaining timely routes
- Ensure youth are safely seated with seatbelts fastened during transportation
- Maintain a calm, respectful, and supportive environment while transporting youth
- Communicate professionally with staff, parents/guardians, and program coordinators regarding pick-up and drop-off times
- Complete transportation logs and documentation as required by program policies
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns immediately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles used for transportation
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures at all times
Skills
- Valid Ohio driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous transportation, school bus,daycare or youth program driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass background check
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to communicate clearly with staff and families
- Comfortable transporting youth ages 5-21years old
- Ability to safely manage pick-up and drop-off procedures
