Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing fixtures/tooling as needed for prototype build, assist senior engineers in performing process development activities in the OSA lab, perform Design of Experiments (DOEs) to determine optimum solutions to manufacturing issues.
- No experience necessary.
- Must be enrolled in college per the Coherent Internship Guidelines.
- Capable of using Solid Works to design simple fixtures/tooling.
- Work effectively in a team setting as well as an individual contributor with limited supervision.
- This role will be based on-site in Fremont, CA.
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.
- Cleanroom work may be needed
- Use of mechanical dimension inspection equipment
- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
