The Project Manager – Is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic initiatives aimed at increasing organizational capacity, efficiency, and output. This role oversees cross-functional project teams to ensure that expansion efforts—such as facility upgrades, production scaling, and process optimization—are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
The Project Manager collaborates closely with stakeholders across operations, engineering, finance, supply chain, human resources, and senior leadership to define project objectives, develop detailed project plans, and manage risks. They are accountable for coordinating resources, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
In addition, this role is strategically positioned to evolve into a key contributor within Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), ensuring that facility design, construction, and operational readiness align with long-term safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability objectives.
This position requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings experience in large-scale capital projects or operational expansion initiatives and demonstrates a track record of delivering measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project management for capacity expansion initiatives from conceptualization to workforce ramp
- Lead reoccurring project meetings with and maintain action item lists, assignments, due dates, meeting notes, and project trackers
- Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource plans
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Identify risks/critical paths and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
- Provide regular status updates and reports to stakeholders and leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5 years proven experience managing large-scale projects, preferably in capacity expansion or operations required
- 7 years’ experience in advanced manufacturing environment, with preferred experience in crystal growth, or materials processing
- Some EH&S experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of design software (e.g., AutoCAD) preferred
Preferred
- Experience with capital equipment and facility expansion projects
- PMP (or equivalent)
