What are the responsibilities and job description for the Growth Engineer position at Coherence?
Company Description
Coherence is the fastest growing breathwork app.
Role Description
You’ll own paid organic growth end-to-end and work hand-in-hand with our head engineer (my brother, the guy who built the entire breathing engine and sync tech from scratch).
What you’ll do
- Build and scale in-house growth systems: Meta, TikTok, Google, Snap (we currently spend 6-figures/mo profitably and are ramping hard)
- Run rapid-fire experiments (new creatives, audiences, landing pages, offer tests) and ship the winners same week
- Own the full funnel: CAC, LTV, payback periods, attribution, incrementality testing
- Work directly with engineering to build growth-specific features (viral loops, referral mechanics, dynamic paywalls, server-side tracking)
- Turn virality into a repeatable channel (you’ll have live data on 10M breaths per day to play with)
- Ruthlessly kill what doesn’t work and double down on what prints money
Who you are
- You’ve personally managed $10M in profitable ad spend for a direct-to-consumer mobile app (health, wellness, meditation, fitness preferred)
- You can set up Advantage campaigns in your sleep and still beat agency benchmarks by 2-3×
- You code enough to be dangerous (or at least speak fluent engineer) – you’ll be in daily standups with my brother shipping features that move LTV 20% in a weekend
- You live for 7-day payback periods and get pissed when ROAS drops below 4×
- Zero ego. You just want to win and get paid accordingly.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills and experience in interpreting and analyzing data to drive decision-making
- Proficiency in market research and the ability to identify trends and opportunities
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across departments and with stakeholders
- Experience in sales and marketing to strategize and implement growth-driven initiatives
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptability to changing priorities
- Problem-solving mindset and familiarity with Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience is also welcome
