TITLE: Porter
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt – Part-time
DEPARTMENT: Assets
REPORTS TO: Community Asset Manager
LOCATION: Blossom Rock – Apache Junction, AZ
Summary
The Porter for Blossom Rock will actively support community values and visions while demonstrating a level of organization and service that ensures resident needs are met with a high level of satisfaction. The Porter will provide a warm, welcoming, and professional approach when interacting with residents, colleagues, and vendors, utilizing their knowledge of facilities operations to support the overall experience. The primary responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and care of community amenities and common areas, assisting with light maintenance and repairs in coordination with the Facilities team, and ensuring spaces are ready for resident use and community events. The Porter may also assist with Ambassador coverage and other operational or administrative needs as required to support the broader team.
Scope
- Complete minor repairs and building improvements.
- Prepare activity rooms and spaces before and after events and meetings.
- Relocate equipment and furniture as required.
- Assist with community activities and events when necessary.
- Clean all common areas including lobbies, restrooms and offices.
- Pool area clean up debris / trash, straighten lounge chairs, and assist with restroom clean up.
- Monitor, clean and service restrooms.
- Clean windows and doors.
- Respond to any major spills or other cleaning crisis.
- Empty trash and recyclable materials.
- Help order supplies required for facility maintenance.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs throughout the community as needed.
- Assist the Facilities Manager, Engagement and/or Operations members as directed.
- Notify the Facilities Manager of any conditions requiring repair or maintenance.
- Blow off hard surfaces as required.
- Reset umbrellas, banners and/or decorations as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Fill in for Ambassador shifts / help with coverage as needed
- Patrol common areas in work cart to pick up loose debris.
- Patrol community parks to ensure cleanliness, and functionality are in order.

Knowledge | Experience
- High School diploma or GED required; College coursework and/or skill-based technical training is highly desired.
- Ability to work in a team environment and on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Entry-level experience in painting, janitorial work and knowledge of basic tools, etc.
- Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds,
- Ability to stay on feet for long periods of time and work outdoors for extended periods of time, physically able to complete the execution of duties.
- Bilingual in Spanish is helpful

Job Type: Part-Time
Pay: $17.50/hr.
