Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The candidate will have a background in metal fabrication and welding, ability to operate saws, ironworker machines, shear, brake, overhead cranes, and welders, TIG, MIG, and stick, with the ability to read shop drawings. CAD experience would be helpful in order to operate bending and cutting machinery. This role involves working in shop and on construction sites, loading driving trucks, utilizing various power tools, and adhering to industry codes and standards. The Fabricator/Welder will be part of a team responsible for building and installing high-quality metal products and other metal components while ensuring safety and efficiency throughout the fabrication process.
Responsibilities
- Build and assemble metal components according to specifications from shop drawings.
- Perform TIG and MIG welding and cutting torch tasks on various materials.
- Utilize power tools effectively to cut, shape, and join metal components.
- Operate cranes safely for lifting heavy materials during the fabrication process.
- Inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Experience
- Experience in metal fabrication and welding, preferably in a shop environment.
- Proficiency in reading shop drawings.
- Basic math skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and geometry.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to welding and fabrication.
- Experience using various power tools, including but not limited to, grinders, and welders.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures and lasers.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Driver's license and truck driving experience.
