The ideal candidate will manage and litigate landlord-tenant matters on behalf of property owners, landlords, and property management companies. This individual will advocate for clients in court, develop legal strategies, negotiate settlements, and provide practical legal guidance throughout the eviction and property recovery process. The successful candidate will build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering exceptional service and results.
Responsibilities:
- Represent landlords in eviction and landlord-tenant matters
- Attend court hearings and travel regularly to courts throughout the region
- Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes
- Draft and review leases, notices, agreements, and court filings
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies
- Prepare motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents
- Advise landlords and property management clients
- Manage case files and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to support client success
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar association
- Strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and regulations
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple cases simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The associate attorney may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the supervising attorney or firm management.
The hired attorney will be responsible for following the firm’s court calendar. The attorney may work remotely before, after, and in-between scheduled court hearings throughout the day. Scheduled office days when not in court will be discussed.
