Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Family Law Attorney, based in Northbrook, IL, with flexibility for remote work. The Family Law Attorney will manage client cases, including representing clients in court, preparing legal documents, drafting settlement agreements, and negotiating on behalf of clients. Additional responsibilities include advising clients on divorce-related matters such as custody, property division, financial settlements, and child/spousal support. The lawyer will collaborate with clients to ensure their needs are met and offer them competent and ethical legal representation at every step.
Qualifications
- Experience in divorce law, family law, and litigation
- Proven skills in legal research, contract drafting, and preparing legal documentation
- Ability to conduct negotiations effectively and provide insightful legal counsel to clients
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
- Prior experience with high net-worth clients or complex family law cases is a plus (but not required)
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and in good standing with the Illinois State Bar Association
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously
Compensation is commensurate with experience; signing bonus option
