Dental Hygienist – Periodontal Specialty Office

Our growing periodontal practice is seeking a compassionate and driven Dental Hygienist to join our team in a hybrid role unlike a traditional hygiene position.
About the Position
This is not your typical hygiene role. As part of a periodontal specialty team, you will:
- Participate in patient care across the entire spectrum – from initial consultations and education to surgical procedures and long-term maintenance care.
- Work side-by-side with board-certified periodontists, gaining advanced clinical experience in periodontal therapy, surgical assistance, and implant dentistry.
- Build long-term patient relationships by guiding them through their treatment journey and ongoing maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Provide periodontal assessments, scaling, and root planing.
- Assist the periodontist during surgical procedures.
- Educate patients on oral health, periodontal disease, and post-surgical care.
- Perform supportive maintenance therapy for periodontal and implant patients.
- Contribute to a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
Qualifications
- Licensed Dental Hygienist in Massachusetts (required).
- Interest in or prior experience with periodontics, implant dentistry, or surgical assisting (training provided).
- Strong communication and patient education skills.
- A team-oriented mindset with a desire to learn and grow in a specialty setting.
