Electrical Commissioning Engineer
Location: Eagle Mountain, UT — Onsite
Rate: $58/hr (24-month contract)

Experience: 4 years in electrical commissioning or power systems
Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (ABET) or Engineering Technology P.E.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and execute electrical commissioning, testing, and startup of power systems (switchgear, transformers, generators, MV/LV distribution).
Perform insulation/hi-pot, relay, and functional testing; use Omicron, Doble, Megger or similar.
Validate protection coordination, short-circuit, and arc-flash studies against as-built conditions.
Support FAT/SAT, PSSR, loop checks, and final turnover documentation (ITRs, test records, redlines).
Troubleshoot field issues, coordinate with construction, controls, and operations, and manage vendor testing.

Ability to read one-line diagrams, schematics, and control wiring.
Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, and IEEE safety standards.
Hands-on commissioning/startup experience in power generation, utilities, data centers, industrial, or BESS environments.
