Middle School Special Education Teacher (Self-Contained)
Location: Berlin, NH (Onsite)
Type: Open Contract (8-10 months)
Pay: $35–$45/hour
We’re hiring a dedicated Middle School Special Education Teacher for a self-contained classroom (grades 6–8) in a supportive, community-driven district.
Key responsibilities
- Provide specialized, individualized instruction in a self-contained middle school classroom.
- Implement IEP goals and monitor academic, behavioral, and social progress.
- Collaborate with staff, related service providers, and families.
- Maintain documentation and participate in IEP/team meetings.
- Create a structured, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for a small caseload (~5–6 students).
Requirements
- New Hampshire Special Education teaching certification/licensure (or eligible).
- Experience in a self-contained special education setting.
- Experience with middle school students (grades 6–8) preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work fully in person.
