About the Role
Montefiore IT is seeking an Epic Certified Research Analyst to support our existing application builds and enhancement efforts. You will play a key role in evaluating operational workflows, gathering system requirements, and ensuring optimal Epic Research functionality – both clinical and billing.
Key Responsibilities
Install and upgrade Epic applications and components
Configure application settings and provide go-live/rollout support
Provide end-user support and troubleshooting for Epic Research modules
Triage and escalate issues to internal teams or Epic vendor when needed
Analyze business and clinical workflows to assess system needs
Develop system specifications and create test plans
Perform testing and document all outcomes thoroughly
Create reports using database queries and reporting tools
Monitor system issues and participate in resolution processes
Maintain documentation and update training materials for end users
Provide 24x7 customer support on a rotating basis
Liaise with Epic vendor for escalations and coordination
Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, helpdesk, and clinical/business teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Epic Certification in Research (Clinicals and Billing workflows) – Required
3 years of experience with Epic Research Clinicals and Billing workflows
3 years of experience with Epic Billing Charging and Router modules
Experience in application implementation, support, and testing
Strong understanding of clinical/business operations
Nice to Have
Experience working in healthcare IT organizations with matrix reporting structures
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to coordinate vendor activities and manage upgrades/installations
