Job Title: Customer Service Representative – Healthcare Benefits
Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid – In-office required on Mondays)
Duration: 09/07/2026 – 06/30/2027 (Contract)
Pay Rate: $18–$20/hr on W2 (all-inclusive, no benefits)
Role Overview
Provide high-volume phone and email support to case managers, healthcare providers, and program partners for a state public health insurance assistance program. Help clients enroll, troubleshoot eligibility issues, and ensure uninterrupted access to HIV medications through accurate, timely, and compliant support.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound/outbound calls and emails regarding benefits, enrollment, eligibility, renewals, and program policies.
- Guide users through documentation requirements, enrollment steps, and plan options; resolve barriers to medication access.
- Document interactions, research issues, and coordinate resolution with internal teams and vendors. 1
- Identify trends, escalate complex cases, and support quality assurance and process-improvement activities.
- Maintain HIPAA and program confidentiality requirements while working in databases/case management systems.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Health Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Management, or related field.
- 4 years of front-facing customer service experience in healthcare, health insurance, or public health settings.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and multi-tasking skills in a moderately paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using databases or case management systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and state/federal program rules.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience with Ryan White/ADAP, HIV medication access programs, or state/federally funded health programs.
- Background providing technical assistance to case managers or healthcare providers.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
