Role: TECHNICAL DESKTOP Support Engineer
Location: Candidates will need to work from the Client’s office in NJ all 5 days a week

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Technical Lead role involves overseeing and managing technical operations related to IT Service Management
The candidate will provide expert support for MAC OS and Windows systems ensuring seamless networking, Printer, Mobility, AV support, and desktop support.
This position requires a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience with a focus on delivering high-quality technical solutions in a dynamic office environment.
Deliver desktop support with a focus on onsite troubleshooting and problem-solving to ensure user productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives and goals.
Implement best practices in technical support to enhance system reliability and user experience.
Monitor and analyze system performance to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
Contribute to the company’s purpose by ensuring robust technical infrastructure that supports business growth and societal impact.
Provide hands-on support for end-user devices including desktops, laptops, tablets, AV systems, mobile phones, printers, docking stations, monitors, and associated peripherals.
Perform troubleshooting, break-fix, and resolution of hardware, software, and connectivity issues through both physical (on-site) and supported remote modes.
Support operating system-related activities, including OS updates, patches, upgrades, and general maintenance tasks to ensure device stability and compliance.
Assist with system imaging, configuration, and deployment of new devices as part of hardware refresh programs, new joiners, or device replacements.
Leverage approved desktop management tools and simple applications to efficiently diagnose issues, execute fixes, and perform routine engineering tasks.
Coordinate with desktop engineering and other resolver groups for escalations, root cause analysis, and implementation of permanent fixes where required.
Ensure adherence to defined service levels, security standards, and operational procedures while delivering a consistent end user experience.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for the position depends on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate and is between $60,000/year - $70,000/year. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
