Sr. Java Full Stack Engineer About the role As a Sr. Java Full Stack Engineer, you will make an impact by designing and developing scalable, cloud-native applications with a strong emphasis on Java technologies. You will be a valued member of the Digital team and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet client needs. In this role, you will: Develop robust backend services and full-stack applications using Java and Python. Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS. Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform. Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Git and automation tools. Integrate secure authentication protocols including SAML and JWT. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Plano, TX. What you need to have to be considered: 9–12 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java-based full-stack applications. Proven experience in AWS cloud-native application development. Strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure provisioning technologies (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform). Proficiency in Java and Python programming languages. Experience with Git, unit testing frameworks, CI/CD, and DevOps methodologies. Hands-on experience with authentication protocols such as SAML and JWT. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and project management capabilities. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. These will help you stand out: Experience with Kubernetes containers running on AWS. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position depends on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
