- Develop and maintain production-grade code using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS.
- Review, debug, and optimize code written by peers to ensure performance and reliability.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring issue remediation, improving system stability.
- Estimate and plan JIRA stories, document tasks, and deliver on commitments.
- Perform hands-on coding and peer reviews, ensuring adherence to architecture standards, risk management, and security policies.
- Collaborate effectively within large, cross-functional teams while also working independently with minimal oversight.
- 10 years of experience developing, debugging, and maintaining IBM Z/OS Mainframe applications.
- Strong proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, MQ, VSAM (batch and real-time processes).
- Expertise with tools such as CICS Mainview, REXX, CLIST, Intertest, File Aid, TSO/ISPF/SDSF, File Manager, Changeman, SORT, and Xpediter.
- Advanced database design and development skills in IMS DB, DB2, DB2 SQL, and Stored Procedures.
- Experience with IBM WebSphere MQ messaging solutions.
- Exposure to distributed technologies such as Java, Kafka, REST Web Services, and XML.
- Familiarity with enterprise scheduling tools (CA-7) and file transfer utilities (FTP/NDM/File-Mover).
