Senior Cloud & Full-Stack Software Engineer

About The Role

Cognizant’s Engineering practice is seeking a Full stack cloud engineer who will help us with developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions. With a focus on AWS, ReactJs, Typescript, SQL, Spring Boot, Java, JavaScript, and MySQL this position requires a seasoned professional with 8 to 12 years of experience. The role operates in a hybrid work model during day shifts ensuring a balanced work-life environment.

In This Role, You Will

• Design and develop scalable software solutions using AWS, ReactJs, and Spring Boot to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Design and develop scalable software solutions using Typescript to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Implement robust and efficient code in Java and JavaScript to optimize application functionality and user experience.
• Utilize SQL and MySQL for database management and data retrieval ensuring data integrity and security.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure seamless user experience.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
• Participate in agile development processes contributing to sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and reliability before deployment.
• Document software designs and processes for future reference and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Mentor junior developers providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth and development.
• Optimize application performance through profiling and tuning techniques to meet user expectations.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment processes and improve system scalability.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring X days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Columbus, OH.

What You Need To Have To Be Considered

• 9 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrate expertise in AWS showcasing ability to design and implement cloud-based solutions.
• Exhibit proficiency in ReactJs with a strong understanding of component-based architecture.
• Possess advanced skills in SQL and MySQL ensuring efficient database management and operations.
• Show extensive experience in Spring Boot enabling rapid application development and deployment.
• Display strong command of Java and JavaScript contributing to dynamic and interactive web applications.
• Have a solid understanding of hybrid work models ensuring effective collaboration and productivity.
• Maintain a commitment to continuous learning and professional development in software engineering.

Salary And Compensation

The annual salary for this position will be between $81,337 to $141,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
