About the Role
As an SAP Worksoft Automation Lead, you will make an impact by leading the design, development, and implementation of automation frameworks and strategies across SAP ECC and S/4 HANA environments. You will be a valued member of the QA and delivery team and work collaboratively with infrastructure teams, SMEs, and stakeholders to drive automation excellence and innovation.
In this role, you will:
· Create Automation Framework, Strategy & Plan Documents per project needs
· Validate and recommend automation tool infrastructure for optimal usage
· Perform Proof of Concepts for automation feasibility and share findings
· Coordinate with infrastructure teams to maintain automation environments
· Track application and environment downtimes and plan operations accordingly
· Collaborate with SMEs to identify automation scenarios and business processes
· Estimate effort and delivery timelines for automation scope
· Prepare delivery plans, roadmaps, and track deliverables
· Share reports on automation progress, ROI, and productivity
· Maintain and support automation repository and publish catalogues
· Build accelerators and support organizational capability initiatives
· Train internal associates on automation tools and practices
· Support RFPs with capability presentations and estimations
· Drive innovation using trending technologies

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring onsite presence at client locations, preferably in Sunnyvale, CA, with Austin, TX as a secondary location. What you need to have to be considered
· 12+ years of Test Automation experience including GUI and Web UI applications
· 8+ years of experience with SAP-specific automation tools (Worksoft, Tosca, UFT)
· Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and S/4 HANA across multiple functional areas
· Strong understanding of SAP E2E business flows and functional modules
· Experience as Automation Lead (8+ years) and Automation Architect (5+ years)
· Expertise in setting up tool infrastructure and conducting PoCs
· Proven ability to build business cases and demonstrate ROI
· Extensive experience in automation script development and framework design
· Ability to identify performance impacts and troubleshoot automation issues
· Experience in converting ECC automation scripts to S/4 HANA
These will help you stand out
· Experience in QA/Test Management and Project Management
· Ability to work independently and travel for client engagements
· Knowledge of ERPs other than SAP (e.g., Oracle, CRM, BPM)
· Familiarity with other functional and performance automation tools
Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $81,513 to $130,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
