Key Responsibilities & Job Description Components

• Administration & Maintenance: Perform L3 support for Exadata Database Machine, including patching and upgrading storage servers (cell nodes), database nodes, OS, and IB switches.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize performance using AWR, ADDM, and CellCLI to address storage server bottlenecks.
• Infrastructure Management: Configure and manage Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) and ASM (Automatic Storage Management).
• Backup & Recovery: Implement backup strategies and manage Disaster Recovery solutions using Data Guard.
• Migration & Provisioning: Assist in migrating existing workloads to Exadata Cloud@Customer
  
  

Required Skills And Experience

• Core Exadata Expertise: Extensive experience with Exadata storage cells, Smart Flash Cache, and InfiniBand/RoCE networking.
• Database Administration: Deep knowledge of Oracle Database (19c/23ai), RAC, and Grid Infrastructure.
• OS Knowledge: Strong proficiency in Oracle Linux/Unix administration.
• Cloud Skills: Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Exadata Cloud Service is highly desirable.
• Experience Level: Typically requires 6–10 years of DBA experience
  
  

Salary And Other Compensation

The Salary for this position will be 79,000 to 92,500 early depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
